Scheduling Appointments
At Bright Orthodontics, we have devoted considerable time and effort into designing a scheduling system that serves your needs. Here’s what we aim to accomplish:

-
We ask that you are present and on time for each appointment.
-
We ensure enough time during each visit to perform the scheduled procedures.
-
We are happy to answer any questions and update you on your treatment progress—feel free to ask!
-
Finally, we work with you to schedule around your work and school hours.
Regular Adjustments
Appointments are generally scheduled every 8-10 weeks with appointments lasting thirty minutes. Treatment modalities and technological advances allow for movement of teeth in the time between appointments. Occasionally, Dr. Bright may recommend more frequent check-ups, especially for patients incorporating special needs like dental jewelry or a mouth expander into their treatment.
After-School Appointments
In an effort to see as many patients as possible after school, all appointments forty minutes or longer are scheduled between 8:30 am and 2:00 pm. After-school appointments are reserved for regular adjustments and retainer visits. We make every effort to remain on schedule, as we know that your time is very valuable.

Though we attempt to be as flexible as possible, we cannot guarantee after-school appointments. It is interesting to note that a patient in braces will, on average, have approximately five regular appointments during the school year, which can be scheduled at different times so that the student does not miss the same classes each time.
Emergency Appointments
Should an unexpected need for a visit arise, we will do our best to work you into our schedule on that same working day. Please always call ahead for an appointment. After-hours orthodontic emergencies will be seen if the patient is in pain or feels that it is necessary. Contact us at 281-599-1155 for a recorded message containing the telephone numbers of qualified personnel who will be able to assist you with your problem. For all other emergencies, be sure to call your dentist or 911.
Cancellations
Please note that missed appointments and/or numerous appointment changes will definitely extend your treatment time, which may result in damage to the teeth and gums due to lack of supervision of the braces and associated tooth movement. However, should you find that you cannot keep an appointment, please try to call or e-mail 24 hours in advance so that we have the opportunity to schedule someone else in that time slot and so that we can reschedule your appointment.
